Operation Christmas Child Boxes Due November 20: There are few things that bring more joy than giving gifts on Christmas. This year give to children in other countries who have never received a Christmas gift in their lives through Operation Christmas Child. To participate: fill a show box full of toys, essential items, and candy. Bring it to Oceanside by no later than November 20.

It will be aimed at a younger crowd (Although anyone of any age can participate). The service will be more technology centered as we use things like twitter to share prayer requests and discuss the sermon while it's being preached.

• There is nothing better that seeing God's people mature and grow. I have seen so many of you grow up in your faith. Thank you for your faithful attendance and support during what could have been a very dry month. You have made a difference with your enthusiastic attitude and genuine sweet spirit. Staying connected to God in the summer gives the Holy Spirit the opportunity to impact you. He has done just that.
• Are you ready for a Block Party? It's coming to Seagull on the last weekend in August. We want to reach many for Christ as we have done before. Set aside this important weekend. as we prayer walk, visit, and invite those communities to be with us for a great time. Let's show them God's people love them and, we can have a good time too!
• Ever had trouble raising your children? Who hasn't? That's why Oceanside is gearing up for a parenting seminar. It's called Parenting by the Book and is taught by John Rosemond. 
• How much?  For only $49.95 a couple ($29.95 for an individual), you will get 4 hours of instruction, the hardback book, Parenting by the Book, a free one month subscription to John Rosemond's web resources, and someone will receive a free basket with lots of good parenting stuff in it. As always, there are a few scholarships available. Registration is due September 18th. After that, you can still register, but the cost goes up to $59.95 and $34.95. 
• Where and When? It takes place at Oceanside's ministry center on Saturday afternoon,September 24th.
• Oceanside is having a Scare House (Working Title) this halloween with the specific purpose of leading people to Christ. We'll need actors, costumers, and set designers. This is going to be fun!

Block Party at Seagull: Are you ready for some fun? Oceanside is going to have a block party at Seagull Apartments on Sunday August 28th in the evening. Food, jump castle slides, and give-aways!

Parenting by the book with John Rosemond: teaching. We all could use help or a refresher in rearing our children and grandchildren. He's one of the best. Start planning now for this wonderful seminar on Saturday September 24th. Seating is limited. Scholarships are available.

Parenting Seminar: Who couldn't use a little help here? Whether you have small children, elementary age, tweens, or teens, you can get some great help as we do a 1 day video seminar with world renowned child psychologist John Rosemond (click his name for more information). Be ready to set aside a day on you calendar for this exciting event this fall.

June 21-27

1) Thanks for the great day at the Waterworks Building! Nearly 60 of us there! That’s a 39% increase in 1 week. Let’s keep it up! Let’s see…39% more this week will be…
2) Reality Youth Camp starts this Sunday. We leave form the ministry center at 2:00 p.m. I’ll be in the thick of it with your 35 kids and 10 chaperones. It’s gonna’ be fun and tiring. Pray for us.
3) Can’t wait for the upcoming block party at Seagull apartments. Pray we’ll impact that community for Christ. The party begins at 6:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon, July 17th. You do such a great job reaching out. Thank you!
4) Can anyone say, Vacation Bible School? The fun begins July 22 at 7 p.m. Be prepared for God to use you in these kids lives.

June 14-20

1) Worship will be at Mt. Pleasant Water Works this week at 10:30AM. Below We'll give you directions from Oceanside's Ministry Center.

• Camp Fusion Camp 2011- Preparations are well underway. We have our transportation ready to go, and we're collecting all the money. A couple of things you might want to think about.

• Be sure to get $50 more in by June 22.
• We're still looking for a driver for the way home from camp. The person needs to be over 21 preferably over 25 and have a good driving record. You also need to be ok with loud students.
• There are still a couple of spots left for camp. Let Ivey know if you're interested in getting one.
